For the third time the foundation "Wir helfen München" invited about 1.000 people in need and who are living in institutions or simply have too little of everything to a free three-course lunch at the Löwenbräukeller.
A lot of helping hands were involved, for example numerous employees of the Stadtsparkasse, including CEO Ralf Fleischer, communications agency heller & partner, companies that financially support the foundation and the wife of the first mayor Petra Reiter.
As a "garnish" for lunch, there were brass and as a small give-away at the end of the event a toilet bag for everyone.
"The Stadtsparkasse München is more than the bank of our city ‚," said Fleischer. "It is also a socially responsible company. Today we want to show the many homeless, that they are valuable members of our community, we do not forget and treated with the same dignity as every other human being."
Other companies like Almdudler, Alte Weinbörse, BRK-Kreisverband München, Eilles Kaffee und Tee, Löwenbräu GmbH and many more supported the event and donated food and drinks.
The foundation was established in 2011 under the patronage of Lord Mayor Christian Ude by entrepreneur Harry Habermann, Prof. Dr. Stephan Heller, CEO of heller & partner Marketing Services AG, Prof. Dr. Stefan Leberfinger, tax consultant, auditor Sozietät Braun Leberfinder Ludwig and the CEO of Stadtsparkasse München, Harald Strötgen.
The foundation helps people who are guiltless in need. Above all, long-term conveyer projects are promoted and people in particular need are supported. The focus of the Foundation’s work is on children, young people and old people.
