Politics meets business – this is the concept of Alpine views, the event format of Sky Germany. As chairman of the Committee on Media Policy in the Economic Advisory Council, Sky Communications Board Prof. Wolfram Winter, Bavaria State Minister for Economic Affairs and Media, welcomed Ilse Aigner in Unterföhring.
Under the topic „Media Policy in Bavaria – opportunities and prospects for a strong location“ explained Aigner frame political principles of her activities. She emphasized in particular the close relationship between media policies and founder policy. As a reference in this context, the Minister named the incubation center “Werk 1” in future “Werksviertel” in Munich. “Bayern is better than Berlin because sustainable businesses are raised here, products and business models of the future are developed and jobs are created here. We compete with Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv, that’s our claim.“
„24 Hours to decide on the Bavarian media policy – how would you use this opportunity,“ was one of the questions of Prof. Winter. In its reply Aigner revealed her passion for film, theater and television – and called the substantial increase in the funding measures of Munich Film Festival as the first action. A very topical issue is the introduced minimum wage. „This has also built a substantial Hurdle for the film and media industry,“ said Winter. Aigner promised to consider this aspect in the future adaptation of the law.
